The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: mattress that is off gassing harmful chemicals.

I read online reviews for one month looking for a safe and chemical free mattress. Nolah mattress fit my criteria, so I called their customer service line to speak to them directly. I was assured repeatedly that they do not use any noxious chemicals during manufacture, and there is no off gassing.

I ordered the mattress and it was shipped in late november.

It smelled extremely strong so i placed it in a room by itself. I took the cover off, placed it on its side, turned on the room fan and opened the window. It smelled horrible for 2 months, and I got sick being in the room.

After 2 months of this I contacted the company and requested a refund. I had to call twice, and write several times to get this done. They picked it up last week. The room it was stored in still smells horrible- I had to seal the room off.

There is a glaring safety issue, but also a malfeasance issue. They have a huge volume of false and misleading online advertising- including fake review sites. Then they lied directly to me, then they made me sick- now i have a safety issue in my home after the mattress is gone. This is a criminal act. I am a medical doctor and it is very disappointing to see that a company can operate with impunity in this manner while negatively impacting the health of the public.
