The product, in the report: Dormeo Dreamy Mattress purchased at The Mattress Store in Albuquerque,NM

I bought a Dormeo brand mattress at Mattress Firm in [REDACTED] in fall of 2016. In summer of 2017 I woke and put moisturizing oil on my legs and arms. The next morning I awoke to intense burning and stinging where I had applied the oil. It felt like hundreds of bee stings. I could feel the tiny hard pieces in my skin and went about removing what I could feel but not see. The skin tore away very easily like it was paper and I was covered in bloody spots for weeks. I have scars on my arms. Within a couple weeks I started having hypertensive crises that took me to the ER. I started having nausing, vomiting, and extreme muscle spasm of my arms & legs. I was hospitalized with the spasms in the back of my legs that made it impossible to to stand and excruciating to sit. This resolved in a few days. The doctors didn’t know what it was, believing it was mental. I knew it was something in my environment as bedding and clothing caused intense buggy feeling & itching. Some days I had trouble breathing in my rental home & started staying in a hotel where I was still having to clean ceiling to floor every day (I believe bc of the cats fur). I spent tens of thousands of dollars staying in hotels. I had exterminators come, finding nothing. I had mold testers come, nothing. My washing machine developed a tear in the tub liner. Two washing machines in the motels in which I stayed & washed my belongings also developed these tears. A fourth washing machine had same fate at the apartment I’m in now. Almost all of my fabric belongings have tears and holes at seams or where my laden fingernails would touch clothes while dressing. It was especially apparent on my sheets & canvas laundry sorter. All my pillows, featherbed toppers, comforters, even [REDACTED] spot cleaner, humidifiers, & air filters had to be thrown out. Most of my makeup and any jars of product, gone. Some of my plates even cracked in two. The cat’s water bowls had unusual hair-like deposits that were also visible in the sink when I’d soak dishes. After using ice from fridge’s ice-maker that looked suspicious I vomited horribly & stopped using that. The cats fur seemed to also cause me itching rashes and they seemed bothered, unwell too. I spent thousands taking them to vets. I took 8 winter sweaters and silk shirts to dry cleaners & each one came back with at least two holes. I spent so much staying at hotels that I couldn’t pay rent and had to move. I moved from [REDACTED] to [REDACTED]. The first few months were better but then got so much worse; I believe because this apt is fully carpeted. I was consistently sick now with rashes, nausea, extreme anxiety, muscle spasms & uncontrolled hypertension. My body hair fell out & stopped growing. The hair on my head lost 1/3. Then my teeth started cracking & crumbling little bits at a time to where now I have lost more than 3/4 of my teeth. I developed a “lupus” rash on my neck. I could only walk walk inside with slippers as my feet would burn otherwise but this did not stop them from swelling 2+ sizes as did my hands. No wonder my first cat developed breathing problems and nothing vets did worked. He was put down. My second cat developed a tumor in her sinuses and after she went blind from her eyeball imploding , she was put down. My 3rd cat was having severe diarrhea these whole 3 yrs of hell. At 17 unable to control her bowels she was too put down. I admitted myself to a mental health facility for weeks trying to get control of the intense anxiety & pain with no apparent cause. My symptoms improved after staying at hotels but I couldn’t figure out why til I read an article on the [REDACTED] mattress this spring/summer. Fabrics weren’t the only things destroyed either. My electric toothbrush lost bristles but also stopped functioning properly as did my [REDACTED], two DVD players, and a microwave that kept catching fire. I currently have GI trouble with gastritis and mal-absorption as well as swelling of tendons causing pain in my knees, ankles, & elbows. This mattress leaching glass fibers has cost me everything, more than I can write here. I sent a sample of the FR sock on my Dormeo mattress & my cat’s old water bowl, even after I had scoured it with sos pad, to a lab where the fibers in the bowl I kept in the kitchen down the hall from the bedroom were a match. I wonder if the massage feature on the electric platform spread these fibers farther as the mesh sides of the Dormeo mattress was a poor design with an FR sock. I finally have the reason for this hell. But I am having trouble finding a lawyer. I only was able to figure out the cause this summer. Any help u can provide is appreciated. [REDACTED]
