The product, in the report: Black, triangular jar opener with rubber grip and sharp small metal teeth along one side to grip jar lids.

When opening a jar with the oxo opener, I sustained a serious cut on my right thumb due to the poor design or defect. The sharp metal teeth ripped open the side of the lid exposing sharp metal shards. I received Hand Therapy from a rehabilitation center due to pain, numbness and loss of mobility. Oxo requested the opener and stated that their quality control dept. could not replicate the problem even though I can easily replicate it. They offered $150 compensation which I refused as inadequate. After over two years, they have finally returned the opener to me. I have noted that they now have a redesigned opener which I have not purchased.
