  1. Hurt, care not known

Made Apr 25, 2025, sent to the company Apr 28, 2025, published by CPSC May 12, 2025

The product, in the report: Mattress is a Queen size and on the top it has white quilted pattern with black/dark gray sides.

I am reporting the Nap Queen Sleep Victoria Hybrid mattress due to concerns of the fire hazard material and to report the mattress material shifting underneath. Guests have been sleeping on this mattress in the extra bedroom so it is not slept in every day which is cause for concern as to why the top layer has shifted. I would also like to report a burning sensation when sleeping on the mattress l, unable to use since it gave guests a rash that looked inflamed and was sensitive to touch.

The product, in the report: I have a queen size NapQueen 14 Inch Bamboo Charcoal Queen Size Medium Firm Memory Foam Mattress

    Hello CPSC,

I believe there is something in the material that is causing my thought to tighten up and at that time none stop coughing as Im having an allergic reaction to the mattress and at that point I find myself going outside to fill my lungs with fresh air.

I either just stay awake or grab a pillow and comforter and go get uninterrupted, non coughing sleep on the sofa.

It’s not the most comfortable location to sleep but that’s just it I’m able to get sound sleep without running a ceiling fan and having the bedroom window open to circulate what I’m leaning towards problematic materials that with this recall would pose less a fire hazard and more of a respiratory health risk!

I have slept in different locations in our home but without any type of breathing problems or coughing almost instantly whenever try sleeping on our nap queen mattress.

Could having the recall mattress cover just mask the obvious fumes or whatever is being discharged or released into the atmosphere when in close proximity of my nap queen mattress which could continue to cause health conditions with more than just me?

As this being a ongoing problem I’m having with this mattress, I feel it’s on my best welfare to receive a full refund and just discard this mattress.

Whatever didn’t go into the manufacturing process obviously caused more that a fire risk. It also posses a respiratory health risk as well.

My original mattress was purchased at Walmart home page Order date: Sat, Aug 20, 2022 Order number: [REDACTED] but due to a defective mattress I contacted nap queen and under warranty I was sent out a replacement.

I recently found out about the recall so after looking into it not being okay with how nap queen wanted to mask the problem I dug deeper and located the CPSC and the compliant option with hopes of a better sound solution!

Thanking you in advance, I remain,

    Sincerely yours, [REDACTED]

  3. First aid

Made Jul 29, 2024, sent to the company Sep 6, 2024, published by CPSC Sep 20, 2024

The product, in the report: King size mattress

(6/23/2023): There was an incense stick lit for 2 – 3 minutes and it was beside the consumer’s bed.

Embers from a nearby burning incense fell on the bed and caused it to burn. The consumer laid on the bed afterwards, not knowing embers had gotten on the bed. He quickly extinguished the burning mattress, but sustained burns to his right wrist. The consumer mother treated him for 2nd degree burns

Approximately 5” of the mattress was burned.

(7/2023): The consumer contacted the manufacturer and reported the problem to them. Initially he was asked if he had a zelle account, which he said yes. The consumer said that the manufacturer’s rep. agreed to provide a refund, but he never received it. He sent the recall company pictures of his burn, his purchase receipt and other information that they requested. He called the company a few more times and sent them more emails, but no one responded.

He then contacted the company through Facebook and tried calling the recall number, but no one answer

(2024): The consumer was notified by the company about CPSC Recall# 24-263. However, considering his incident, he would like a refund and does not want a replacement mattress cover.
