The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Emergency room

Made May 14, 2026, sent to the company May 19, 2026, published by CPSC Jun 3, 2026

The product, in the report: Queen Size MD Matress, Date of Manufacture: 04/09/2025, model 425-1050, TRU Ice Plush (BLACK) mattress with cooling gel layer. Prototype ID: 226140002, for use with or without a foundation.

Our son has had trouble sleeping, multiple seizures and been very sick ever since we purchased his mattress. We did not know that there is gel inside the mattress and it has a leak and was coming up to the surface, admitting odor and toxic fumes. After contacting the MATTRESS company, they would not tell us what was inside the mattress. They gave me an attitude and refused to talk to me. All content is not listed on the tag and vague. So they do not disclose what the gel layer consists of inside the mattress or what it is made from. It is not listed on the tag as per law is required. The gel layer of liquid inside is seeping up to the surface and has been soaking into my child skin. He would wake up with his clothing wet. For almost a year it did this and has made him very sick.
