Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Jun 2, 2022, sent to the company Jun 7, 2022, published by CPSC Jun 23, 2022
The product, in the report: King Size 10” foam Lull Mattress 76” x 80” x 10”
We had a LULL Mattress and had no issues with it until one day my daughter threw up on it. Not thinking anything of it my wife removed the sheets to wash them but I saw the vomit had seeped through mattress itself. I saw on the sides there was a zipper so of course generally if there is a zipper then it means the cover can be removed. I removed the cover to be washed and after all is done we put everything back on, upon lying down we felt very itchy with a hint of burning sensation when I realized I have dealt with the same feeling from fiberglass. My wife researched it and that’s when we found out the mattress had fiberglass in them. We knew nothing of this until it was too late and thought, why would the company put a zipper to remove the mattress cover if it was not meant to be removed? My wife, myself and our 1 year old daughter were exposed to the fiberglass and our whole room was covered all the way to the hallway, spare room, office and ventilation. We had to throw away thousand dollars worth of furniture, toys and nearly all our clothes. We spent over $10k on remediation to get rid of the fiberglass as much as possible and a few thousand more to get the home re-carpeted as well as buy new furniture, clothes and other materials that couldn’t be salvaged. It has been a living nightmare for my family especially for our daughter and I have been through what I thought was worse in the military but this topped it off. It has been over half a year and we are still dealing with getting rid of fiber glass.
