Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Kickee Pants Infant Sleeping Bag, size 6 - 18 months, Topiary Tuscan Sheep print, 95% viscose + 5% spandex

I purchased a sleeping bag from Kickee Pants in size 6 - 18 months, Tuscany print, made of viscose and bamboo in March 2019. I attempted to use this sleeping bag (also called a “sleep sack”) on my 9 month old baby as a safer alternative to blankets. Unfortunately, the neckline is not reinforced and the bamboo material is very stretchy. After placing it on my child, he was able to pull the sleep sack over his entire face including his nose and mouth. This presents a risk for SIDs because even a thin blanket placed over the nose/mouth risks causing hypercarbia. These sleeping bags come in a smaller size for even younger babies, which is especially dangeroud.
