Hurt, care not known Made Feb 25, 2019, sent to the company Mar 5, 2019, published by CPSC Mar 20, 2019
The product, in the report: Brand: Baby Dee Dee Product: Sleep Nest (Medium) Description: “sleep sack” with center zipper, over-should button fasteners. Link to product: https://www.babydeedee.com/products/sleep-nest?variant=12762152271931
This concerns an infant ‘sleep sack’ made by Baby Dee Dee. Our 8 month child was able to chew off the plastic ‘tape’ securing the top of the zipper to the cloth. He subsequently gagged on this, throwing up several time.
This seems like an obvious product flaw that is easily mitigated by using non-tape style zipper.

The product, in the report: Baby Deedee Sleep Nest Lite Baby Sleeping Bag, Mocha Heather, Medium (6-18 Months)
Baby Deedee Sleep Nest Lite Baby Sleeping Bag, Mocha Heather, Medium (6-18 Months)
This sleep sack has a set of snaps on the shoulders that are easily unattached by an 8 month old posing a chocking (with the snaps if they become loose) or suffocation with the blanket. I have found my baby a number of times with the sleepsack rolled all the way down while in his crib. This is supposed to be a safe product that eliminates de use of blankets to prevent exactly what is happening with it.
