The product, in the report: The product is a Costco/Kirkland water filter designed to replace the [REDACTED] filters in a water pitcher. The product packaging has been thrown out so SKU and UPC #’s are not available, there are no marking on the filter. This filter was part of a 10 unit package so the box it came in was discarded and this was the last cartridge from that package.
Noticed the filtered water we had been drinking had long stringy floaties looking like translucent worms in the water. We noticed the floaty material was hanging from and coming out of the filter in the pitcher. The pitcher is a [REDACTED] but the filtration cartridge was one of a package we bought from Costco under the Kirkland brand. My wife and I have been using this cartridge for a couple weeks and noticed the floating pieces in our drinking water today (2/4/24). Our concern is that we have been ingesting these floaties for quite a few days not knowing what harm they may be causing to us now or later on in life. Not any injuries or illnesses to date.
