The product, in the report: West Elm Mirror large oversized mirror (48 inches in diameter) West Elm Item #[REDACTED], Metal Framed Mirror, Antique Brass, Oversized.
Writing to report a dangerous produt defect with a West Elm Mirror where a large oversized mirror (48 inches in diameter) detached from the mirror frame while hanging on a wall, shattering across a living room area, causing property damage. It appears that the glue holding the mirror in place was defective as the mirror detached from the frame, which remains bolted to the wall. This poses a significant danger to anyone in range of the mirror when it detaches and this mirror should be recalled from consumers ASAP as it could be life-threatening if a person was nearby when it detaches. Please reference West Elm Item #[REDACTED], Metal Framed Mirror, Antique Brass, Oversized. I contacted West Elm immediately with a detailed report. They came to pick up the mirror and I was told that they would file a report with the CPSC. I don’t see such a report on the website and, thus, am following up to ensure that a recall takes place.
