The product, in the report: Redstone Indoor Kerosene Heater, 23,800 BTU. Model # WK95C8RB Exclusively sold through Tractor Supply Company, Inc.

I was using this Redstone WK95C8RB 23,000 BTU Kerosene heater to heat my garage. It was 1 year old and had been running a total of about 7 days since I owned it. I left the garage to use the bathroom and while I was in the bathroom my home smoke/carbon monoxide detectors all began beeping. I opened my basement door (access to garage is through basement in my raised ranch house) and thick black smoke billowed into the house. I went outside and opened the garage door and thick black sooty smoke billowed out of the garage. I ducked down and went to the heater and saw larger-than-normal dark red flames licking up the inside of the heater. I clicked the shut down lever and the flames grew larger. I turned the wick adjustment knob back and forth and no position killed the flames, but I was able to get the low enough so that I could carry the heater outdoors. The heater continued to burn for several minutes before the flames eventually subsided.
