  1. No one hurt

Made Sep 2, 2026, sent to the company Sep 4, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 21, 2026

The product, in the report: Noble House Aidan 56 in. x 15 in. rectangular MGO Gas Outdoor Patio Fire Pit. Home Depot Store SKU 1003088518. Internet # 305689081 (Home Depot no longer carries in this light grey color, the identical product in a dark grey color is Internet #304001930). The model number for the identical product in a dark grey (rather than the light grey color we purchased) is #8159.

    To Whom It May Concern:

I am reporting a dangerous fire pit that generated a fire / explosion due to a faulty internal valve. The website SaferProducts.Gov says it is “under construction” and that I should make the report here, so that is why I am making this report via email.

The product is the Noble House Aidan 56 in. x 15.00 in Rectangular MGO Gas Outdoor Patio Fire Pit. It was purchased from Home Depot online in July 2025 and delivered by Home Depot to [REDACTED]. The store SKU is 1003088518. The online item number is 305689081. It has only been used once.

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, when we tried to use the fire pit a second time, it generated a huge fire ball that shot out the sides from underneath the fire pit. It could have killed someone or lit a house on fire. Fortunately, my husband, [REDACTED], copied, was standing at the tank, which is located some distance away from the fire pit, when he turned on the gas at the tank, so he was not injured. He was able to return to the tank and turn the gas off there.

After it had cooled off, my husband inspected it by turning the gas on very slightly and then spraying soapy water to find the leak. He found a leak (via soapy bubbles) coming from the valve underneath the burner control valve located underneath the fire pit within its outer enclosure.

We urge a recall of this product before someone else is hurt. Please respond to let me know you received this, given that the CPSC website is down.

    Thank you,

    [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: Noble House Gunnar 3-piece wicker patio fire pit conversation set with beige cushions. We bought this product from Home Depot.

While properly using my “Noble House Gunnar 3 piece Wicker Patio Fire Pit Conversion Set” outdoor gas firepit that came with lava rocks, the hot lava rocks began to explode. One of the hot rock pieces hit me in my chest area and fell to the ground. It burned a hole in my outdoor rug. I quickly turned it off to prevent any further injuries or damage.
