The product, in the report: The product I have seen advertised is a rectangular firepit. They pour ethanol from a bottle and light it. https://www.houswise.com/

I keep coming across an advertisement that seems to me to be extremely unsafe.

The product, in the report: The product is advertised as a clean safe indoor outdoor fire pit Dimensions: 4”D x 15”W x 5”H

Im writing today regarding a serious safety concern, a product called Houswise portable indoor/outdoor fire pit?

I noticed there was a large civil case against [REDACTED], and this product appears identical, though it is now being advertised on [REDACTED] and several other social media outlets under the Houswise name: [REDACTED]

Unfortunately, my husband suffered severe burns from this product. Although the fire appeared to be out, when I added additional fuel it exploded. He has been hospitalized and required skin grafts. He had just started a new job and doesnt have sick time or benefits. This has been extremely painful physically, emotionally, mentally and financially.

We have contacted a lawyer, who mentioned that the product was supposed to have been pulled last year and may now be marketed under this new name. Despite this, I continue to receive promotional emails from the company.
