The product, in the report: Bird Brain Fire-Pot - Egg Shaped top and bottom cut off, VERY easily tipped. And once it is tipped, continues to roll uncontrollably Here is an image of the exact product we were using: http://www.amazon.com/Bird-Brain-Firepot-Sepia-Pearl/dp/B002YQ5V9I/ref=pd_sim_ol_1
We bought a firepot and was using it on our table outside on the patio. I was leaning back in my chair and slipped backwards. When I fell backwards my foot caught the corner of the table and lifted the one side. This caused the firepot to roll over and toss fuel onto my fiance’s skirt. She stood up startled, and the gel spread the whole way down her leg. She tried Stop Drop and Roll, to no avail, as soon as she would roll back, it would flash back up. Eventually she stood up and I ripped her skirt off piece by piece, burning my knuckles severely and other various parts of my fingers.
By the time we had her skirt ripped off, she was burnt from her hip to her knee all the way around the front/sides of her left leg. We were taken to the ER where she was discovered to have extensive 2nd degree and some 3rd degree burns. I had extensive 2nd degree burns to my hands.
The worst part is, that the skirt did not have a single singed thread on it, meaning only the fuel caused her burns.
Not only is the Gel unsafe, but they are selling pots that are not designed properly. The one we purchased was the shape of an Egg with the bottom and top cut off. As soon as this thing tips, it wants to spin and roll.
We have pictures and Hospital records that are available upon request.

Hospital admission Made Aug 31, 2011, published by CPSC Sep 23, 2011
The product, in the report: Living Quarters 10” Fire Pot and 32 Oz. bottle of BirdBrain fuel gel
On August 1, 2011 [REDACTED] was severely burned when his friend was refilling a Living Quarters fire pot purchased from a Younkers store in Davenport, Iowa with BirdBrain fuel gel. The flame had gone out and when his friend went to refill the fire pot reservoir. As he was doing so, it shot flames up into the plastic 32 ounce bottle of fuel gel causing it to be blown out of his hand, across the room, straying burning fuel gel around. Some landed on [REDACTED] chest and quickly moved to his arms and head. His two friends tried to put the fire out but suffered less severe burns while tearing his burning clothes off and trying to put the fire out. The burning fuel gel had to eventually be smothered out by a sheet on a nearby couch. The fuel gel was very difficult to extinguish. [REDACTED] suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his arms, chest, neck, face and head generally. It is believed that the fire pot flame was out and that the fuel gel self ignited from the heat of the metal fuel gel reservoir.

No one hurt Made Jul 28, 2011, published by CPSC Aug 18, 2011
The product, in the report: Birdbrain Outdoor Fire Pot
I used a Birdbrain Ceramic Firepot. Followed instructions on filling and lighting. It burned for about 10 minutes, then there was a loud pop. The ceramic pot broke, dumping the citronella fuel supplied with the pot. It spilled on the table, chair, outdoor carpet, and my friend’s skirt. I was able to put out the flames quickly, but this could have been a serious accident including catastrophic fire and personal injury.
