The product, in the report: Propane gas fire pit allen + roth Canyon Ridge 36.6-in W 50,000-BTU Stone Design Composite Propane Gas Fire Column Bought at www.lowes.com; Item #: 472966 | Model #: 67385
This report is in regard to this product, a propane gas fire pit: http://www.lowes.com/pd_472966-53470-67385_4294610146__?productId=50037280&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1¤tURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&facetInfo=
There is a protective shield under the fire pan that obviously is supposed to protect the propane tank that is stored underneath from heat. This shield has actually been destroyed by the heat, broken in pieces and fallen off, leaving the product dangerous to use.
In the worst case scenario, we could have had a propane tank explode while people are sitting next to it.
I can provide pictures of the defective product if required.
