Made Nov 29, 2024, sent to the company Dec 6, 2024, published by CPSC Dec 20, 2024

The product, in the report: It is a white square space heater fan about 4.33 x 8.15 x 9.53 Inches with Pelonis branding sold at Walmart stores for about $17.

I have purchased four of these small plastic Pelonis space heaters. They have a defect where the motor and heating element assembly can loosen and detach from the housing, and the hot element comes in contact with the plastic housing and starts to melt and smoke. Two units melted and almost caught fire. All four units have the same defect.
