No incident, no one hurt Made Jan 20, 2025, sent to the company Feb 6, 2025, published by CPSC Feb 21, 2025
The product, in the report: carrier heater serial number 3120A58617 model 59SU5A080E21
Carrier heater model number 59su5a080e21 serial number 3120a58617 was installed in my new home, which I closed on Dec 30, 2020 and the burner has gone out already? the technicaian said it was burning too hot and fast? that sounds like a fire hazard and he “did a work around remedy they always do” - this sounds like an ongoing defective issue and possible fire hazard. is anyone going to look into this before someone does have a fire and a lawsuit is filed???? additionally the trap continuously fills with water and doesn’t properly drain causing it to shut off continuously as well. I have had issues with my heater starting in the winter of 2021 and every year since. I finally bought an electric fireplace to warm my house and space heaters becasue the constant service calls are expensive

No one hurt Made Aug 12, 2021, sent to the company Aug 24, 2021, published by CPSC Sep 8, 2021
The product, in the report: Carrier Corporation Carrier Infinity Greenspeed 4 ton unit Model 25VNA048A0030040
I have a 3 year old Greenspeed Infinity system model #25VNA0 that completely stopped working on August 6 due to an inverter board failure. After two authorized Carrier service technician visits, the heat pump unit was diagnosed with a failed inverter board, after initially showing a code 95 on the unit. A code 95 indicates that there is high current above 257 volts ac being detected within the board.
This same inverter board has been subject to a consumer product safety recall (https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/carrier-and-bryant-recall-heat-pumps) of which absolutely no notice was formally sent to us that our unit posed a fire safety hazard. The recall states the following hazard exists “The capacitors in the fuse boards in the heat pumps can stop working causing the unit to overheat, posing a fire hazard.”
Our service technician is having difficulty sourcing a new inverter board and contacts to Carrier directly have placed blame on distributors and not Carrier corporate for the issues in trying to source a known recall replacement product.
