  1. No incident, no one hurt

Made Dec 4, 2025, sent to the company Dec 8, 2025, published by CPSC Jan 2, 2026

The product, in the report: It is a black, tall, oscillating space heater sold by Walmart under the Better Homes & Gardens brand. It stands about 23 inches tall, with a mesh front and a rotating base. It plugs into a standard wall outlet and is advertised as a tower heater for home use

I purchased a space heater from Walmart, and after using it for a short time, it overheated the outlet. The outlet and the wiring behind the wall burned and melted, exposing live wires. It caused sparking and electric shock even after the heater was unplugged. We had to shut off the power because it became a serious fire hazard and required emergency repair. I have photo evidence of the damage.
