The product, in the report: Brand Mr. Heater Product Grade Replacement Part Outer Material Metal Vehicle Service Type Mr. Heater Big Buddy Heater MH18B Item Weight 0.6 Pounds About this item Recommended when using F273701, F273702, or F298802 hoses Attaches directly to heater For use with Mr. Heater Buddy heaters: the Portable Buddy, Big Buddy, and Tough Buddy models Most commonly used with bulk cylinder and hose assembly
Purchased a Mr. Buddy propane heater, connecting hose for 20lb. tank and a propane in line hose filter. Pilot light in heater kept shutting off. Outdoors, I removed the heater from the filter, the filter from the hose, and the hose from the tank. I noted that the filter was quite cold and seemed heavy. By pushing on the coaxial brass stem extending from the center of the filter, I realized that liquid propane gas was squirting out of the filter and did so for over 10 seconds. The filter was not connected to anything; it had become in essence a pressurized lpg hand grenade which if exposed to a flame, would have exploded, probably killing me.
