The product, in the report: Safety Energy-saving Heater Mini Portable Electric Fan Heater Air Warmer
I purchased a YOUCIDI Safety Energy-saving Heater Mini Portable Electric Fan Heater Air Warmer through Amazon. My Amazon order history shows that I purchased the heater on January 24, 2025. Approximately two weeks ago, the heater was operating in its normal heating position. As I passed by the heater, my arm accidentally came into direct contact with the heater for only a few seconds. The brief contact caused a burn to my arm.
Immediately following the incident, the affected area became very dark and looked almost like a dark tattoo or burn mark. Nearly two weeks later, I still have a clearly visible area of discoloration/skin change on my arm. I have photographs documenting the current appearance of the injury.
I am concerned that an accessible exterior surface of the heater became hot enough during normal operation to cause a skin burn after only a few seconds of accidental contact.
The Amazon product listing describes the product as a Safety Energy-saving Heater Mini Portable Electric Fan Heater Air Warmer. The listing also states that the heater is resistant to deformation at high temperatures and will automatically power off if the temperature becomes too high.
I have stopped using the heater. I still have the heater and power cord, my Amazon purchase information, the product listing information, and photographs of the injury available if CPSC needs additional information or wishes to examine the product.
I am reporting this incident because the product caused an actual burn injury during brief accidental contact while the heater was operating normally, and I am concerned that it could pose a burn hazard to other consumers.
