The product, in the report: The product is commonly found sold as Scalpmaster Lather Time Professional Lather Machine. It’s usually encased in a two tone white upper and black lower plastic shell. The two wire power cord exits the rear via a strain relief and the operation handle is on the bottom front. The liquid reservoir is on the top covered by a lid. Inside the reservoir is a metal spring retained, lever actuated valve which draws the liquid to the pump inside which is the pushed out a type on the front above the activation lever. There no safety markings on the case, just a manufacturer origin stating made in Korea.

When testing a hot lather machine commonly sold in the USA by barber supply shops and online retailers I received an electric shock upon touching the metal components on top of the machine. The machine was turned on and part of my body was touching a counter which is connected to the utility ground via earthing. The shock was felt at the point of contact at the machine and at point of contact of the grounding point.
