The product, in the report: Twin-Star Duraflame Electric Fireplace Heater - CFS-750-11

we received an electric heater December 2014. It was used intermittantly in our living room during the winter and hadn’t been used since mid-march. With the cold snaps we have had, I went to turn it on 2 weeks ago and it didn’t work. Twin-Star (Duraflame) sent us a new board to replace the one that had apparently gone bad. My husband went to replace it last night and discovered that the wiring from the board that goes to power the unit, had melted and heated the copper. I have submitted this to the mfg as well and am waiting a response. we never used this unit without being in the room for obvious reasons. In light of the current recall they have out, I am concerned this is another unit that may have issues. It is a CFS-750-11 unit.

The product, in the report: This is the Duraflame Electric Fireplace. Model No. DFS220-WHT. It is an electric heater and the front of the heater looks like a log in fire.

I was getting ready for work and I looked over at the heater. It looked lopsided. I walked over to it and I turned it off once I could see that it had melted around the frame.
