The product, in the report: DecorFlame Electric Stove (space heater)

I bought the space heater in November from Kmart. It is for my attic art space so it is used infrequently. Last night I plugged the heater in and turned it on as usual. Within 1 minute it smelled of melting plastic and within 2 minutes flames were coming from the bottom heating unit. I unplugged it and the flames extinguished. I notified my local Kmart this morning and they instructed me to contact the manufacturer. I attempted to do that, but the only number on the packaging gives a phone number in Hong Kong. I then called the corporate Sears/Kmart office and they told me to report it to this website. They were unable to find any information on the manufacturer.
