The product, in the report: supplementary electric heater for air handler and modular blower

The supplementary electric heater was purchased from the installer. The supplementary electric heater was purchased with the air handler and it was installed sometime in January 2011.

The consumer states for the past 2 weeks the heating and cooling system would spontaneously cycle on and off when it is not supposed to. The consumer believes the supplementary electric heater is defective and causing the heating and cooling system to malfunction.

On 04/08/15 the consumer contacted a technician to examine the unit and the technician told the consumer that the supplementary electric heater needed to be removed for safety reasons.

The consumer believes the supplementary electric heater poses a fire hazard.

The consumer has not contacted the firm but plans to.
