Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Jul 1, 2019, sent to the company Jul 25, 2019, published by CPSC Aug 8, 2019
The product, in the report: Air conditioner
I had been using an a Soleus Air WM1-05M2-02 air conditioner for some time at my home. Now that I look back on it I remember seeing a warning saying it has lead in the plastic, and being very sunny, I think the particles must have flew into the air because last time I went to the doctor, they found abnormal levels of lead in my blood.

First aid Made Aug 12, 2015, sent to the company Aug 20, 2015, published by CPSC Sep 4, 2015
The product, in the report: SoleusAir / portable A/C and Dehumidifier / 60 pint Model HCB-P13HP-D
Purchased SoleusAir (portable air conditioner/dehumdifier / 60 pint) Model: HCB-P13HP-D, S/N 1005110103001400068, on 8/11/2014 from our local Fry’s Electronics. On 7/02/2015, at approximately 7:30pm, we noticed a slight burning smell of melting plastic and tendrils of smoke emitting from our electrical outlet. Immediately I turned off the Soleus unit and pulled the GFI plug from the outlet. At that time, the GFI outlet belonging to the unit had burn and melt marks around the prongs along with an extremely hot electrical cord. While removing the plug and cord, I received a burn mark on my arm.
I have attempted to contact SoleusAir for many days at the number listed as (888) 876-5387 to no avail. I have called morning, noon, and evening and have never been connected as the line called resumes to a constant busy signal.
I believe this product to be a fire hazard and if we were not at home at the time, fire damage to our home would have most definitely occurred.

No one hurt Made Dec 3, 2014, sent to the company Dec 16, 2014, published by CPSC Jan 2, 2015
The product, in the report: soleus portable air conditioner model no EL-PAC-08E9
I found out that the company Soleus owned by Gree has had a lot of recalls on dehumidifiers that have caused fires. I purchased one of there portable air conditioning units for my sun porch and used it over the summer without problem. We had not used it for over a month so it was off for a while but plugged into the wall. One cold November morning upon leaving the house we heard the unit turned on, this was in a locked room, and not on for quite awhile. It must have been blasting freezing air for sometime over night while we where asleep. We tried to turn it off, but where not able to until we unplugged it from the wall and the plug was burning hot. Thank God we did not have a fire, and this happened when the unit was turned off. It turned itself on and ran for God knows how long. Then on top of it all, it was still under warranty and the company gave us the run around about returning it. This is a bad company and should be put out of business

No one hurt Made Sep 15, 2014, sent to the company Sep 23, 2014, published by CPSC Oct 7, 2014
The product, in the report: Soleus Air portable air conditioner.
I recently became aware of a recall of dehumidifiers marketed by Soleus Air due to overheating. I own a Soleus air conditioner and believe I am having a similar problem. The air conditioner started shorting out the surge suppressor it was plugged into. When I unplugged the item, the socket the item was plugged into as well as the plug were partially melted.

No one hurt Made Jul 24, 2012, sent to the company Aug 8, 2012, published by CPSC Aug 22, 2012
The product, in the report: Portable Air Conditioner - the freestanding type that you run ductwork out of your window.
Purchased Soleus Air Portable Air Conditioner, Model LX-100, in July 2011. Concerned with lack of safety shutoff when submerged in water. Used item approximately 200 hours before water began leaking on carpet. Attempted to use drain with a hose to catch water in a shallow pan, however no water accumulated at site of drain. Discovered that water was leaking from somewhere inside air conditioner. Placed unit in a small wading pool to catch water, and over 8 hour period accumulated 7 1/2 gallons of water and the unit never shut off. My concern with unit is the risk of electrical shock. The unit’s cord is located at the bottom of unit and I do not understand how anything electrical could continue to run while submerged in water. I have seen numerous complaints on the internet pertaining to the same issue of massive water leaking in same model of air conditioner. I am not an electrician, but I would be concerned with anything electrical, extension cords, lamps, etc that would be near this unit when it is pumping out 5 gallons of water on the floor.
