The product, in the report: portable air conditioner

Problem with Danby portable air conditioner - improper routing of wire caused wire insulation to be chafed through and short against compressor pipe - arcing burned a hole in the pipe and [REDACTED] escaped. I was told by someone servicing Danby units what the problem likely was before the unit was opened and that the company had been advised some time before. I contacted Danby and they didn’t consider this a safety problem - CSA was helpless.
