The product, in the report: Hunter Fan model 53035, brown 52” ceiling fan

Last year I purchased a home that had been recently renovated, including new Hunter ceiling fans. The fan in one bedroom, model 53035, wouldn’t operate all of the time. Then came the very strong smell of something burning in that bedroom. My son took the fan apart and we found that the wires inside the fan had burned. Clearly the wiring inside the fan is faulty. I reported this to Hunter Fan to no avail. There is no indication that they are at all concerned that one of their fans came close to starting a fire that could have burned down the entire house. I did exchange email communications and pictures with Hunter Fan Co, but they stopped communicating after I shared a picture of the inside of the fan. When attempting to call the company’s published Help number, I am taken in circles and unable to reach a live person. When using the contact number found on [REDACTED] I was put in touch with a person who promised that someone would call me back, however they don’t call back. The company is unresponsive and unconcerned about the safety of their fans, hence I am making this report.
