The product, in the report: AMAZON PRODUCT: SWEETFULL Baby Stroller Fan, Safe Portable Fan, 15H Use, Nightlight - Brown | Pinch-Proof Design, 4000mAh Rechargeable, Stable Mini Clip On Fan, 360 Adjustable, 4-Speed Quiet, LED Display, Car Seat Crib
I am reporting a serious safety incident involving a SWEETFULL rechargeable stroller fan. While the fan was charging, it ruptured and began producing significant smoke, triggering our smoke alarm. We were asleep at the time and did not hear the rupture. We became aware of the incident when the smoke alarm alerted us. Our 3 month old infant was in a different room and was exposed to the smoke for approximately 20 minutes before we removed her from the apartment and ventilated the home. There was no sustained visible flame, but the apartment filled with smoke and there was a strong burnt-plastic odor. We have retained the fan and associated charging equipment and can provide photographs, purchase information, and additional details if needed. I am reporting this because I believe the incident represents a potentially serious fire and product-safety hazard.
