The product, in the report: 42” led vienna II ceiling fan Patriot Lighting

I bought a 42”Patriot Ceiling fan from Menards two years ago and it began turning off and on randomly. An electrician checked it and said it had a bad motor. Recently a woman here died in a house fire caused by a faulty ceiling fan. My electrician warned me not to use my ceiling fan. I felt this should be reported because this fan is still being sold by Menards. I sent them a note also.

The product, in the report: 5 blade ceiling fan

(08/07/2021) One of the blades on the fan flew off and put a hole in the wall.

The consumer stated that the fan has only been used about five times total since he started using it in December, 2020. The fan was installed by a professional.

When the consumer disassembled the fan to see what happened, he saw that the blade had snapped where it is fasten to the rotor. The other blades are stress cracked.

    No injuries.
