The product, in the report: 12” (30 cm) desk fan The fan was probably purchased 20-25 years ago.
One of the plastic fan blades of a table-top fan failed and shattered into many small pieces (1-3 mm) and a substantial amount of “plastic dust”. This material was subsequently blown around a bedroom in the middle of the night. This dust resulted in respiratory issues for the occupant requiring a visit to urgent care.
