The product, in the report: Small, clip on fan, USB cord to charge. Sells on Amazon, [REDACTED] and at [REDACTED]

This morning at [REDACTED] PST the fire alarms started going off in my house waking me. The house was smoky and smelled of plastic burning. My 23 year old grandson had just threw a fan out into the backyard that had burst into flames when he unplugged it. He had it clipped to his laptop. We purchased it about 6 months or so ago and it didn’t appear to have any malfunction until he unplugged it and it started sparking, sizzling and burst into flames. Quite scary considering how quickly it burned. After throwing it onto the wet grass, and making sure the house was safe, (made sure no flames dropped off while getting it to the door), my grandson used a garden hose to extinguish the fire. We opened windows, turned on the whole house fan and made sure everyone including animals were safe. The house smells horrible and eyes are burning causing us to have to go outside in the cold. Thank goodness my grandson was awake and paying attention when this happened or it could have been catastrophic for our family. I have pictures of the fan taken after the fire.
