  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 27, 2022, sent to the company Jan 9, 2023, published by CPSC Jan 24, 2023

The product, in the report: Home Depot Home Collections Kensgrove 72 in ceiling fan

This is the second failure I have had of the 4 fans I bought Home Depot they are home collections 72 in Kensgrove outdoor ceiling fan hanger ball wore over time due to wind and became small enough that it pulled through the mounting bracket and caught on canopy. The diameter of the ball and mounting bracket are too close to each other or that the bracket spread over time and allow this to happen.

The product, in the report: Home Depot Home Collections Kensgrove 72 in ceiling fan

Home Depot home collections 72 in Kensgrove outdoor ceiling fan hanger ball pulled through mounting bracket and caught on canopy

Looks like the design of the mounting bracket is too flimsy as it can spread and allow this to happen or and the hanger ball is too small
