The product, in the report: Frigidaire 30’’ Overhead Range Hood 30” W x 18-5/8” D x 5” H FHWC3040MS
The Frigidaire Range Hood model #FHWC3040MSB has pop buttons to operate the fan and the light. After about 6-8 months of use, the buttons will pop out of their slots and may cause injury as they become projectiles aiming at a person’s head. Numerous complaints have been lodged with Frigidaire to correct the problem but no solution as of yet. They replaced my original hood with a replacement and the button popout effect repeated with the new hood. I contacted Frigidaire but they admitted that they have no fix but are requesting $197 to fix the problem, once warranty has expired.
There are numerous reviews by consumers all stating the same problem.
