The product, in the report: rotating, electric, floor standing fan

The fan was on for approximately 1 hour, when the hard plastic blade exploded. Pieces of the blade flew through the fan’s grate and nearly missed the consumer. She said that her face was approximately 2’ away from the fan at the time.

All 3 or 4 of the blades in the fan broke apart completely. The consumer said it is totally crushed. She was not injured and there was no damage outside of the fan itself. The fan has high, medium and low settings and it was on the “low” setting at the time.

The fan was primarily used daily in the Summer and is stored away in the Winter.
