The product, in the report: Casablanca Ceiling Fan, Inteli-touch, 52 inch
A 25 pound ceiling fan broke loose from the mount and fell to the floor. It narrowly missed the room occupant. The power wires were broken inside the ceiling but no fire ensued. The unit was professionally installed about 20 years ago. The maintenance document makes no mention of checking the mount which is secured by a lockbolt which appears to have loosened over time.
