The product, in the report: Hunter Fan Cabo Frio model 50257 size 52’’ Model 50257

interior designer in Birmingham, AL, had hunter fan (model number 50257) (Cabo Frio) installed in personal home in February 2021. In the early hours of August 9, 2021, spouse and consumer woke up to a loud crash, only to find our ceiling fan on the floor with the fan canopy still attached to the ceiling and wiring exposed. The wiring was very twisted as if it got caught in the motor. Sleeps with the fan on the highest setting every night and have never heard any unusual sounds or noticed any kind of struggle in the fan. Thankfully pets were not asleep on the floor, because I can only imagine how horrific that would have been. After this very scary episode and traumatic warning, I am very concerned about how this happened, the safety of the other fans in my home, and the safety of others who could also be at risk. Additionally, a licensed electrician installed the fan.
