The product, in the report: Speedup circuit board used with HVAC air handler to control fan speed.

Our agency has responded to several incidents involving “speedup” relay boards with Goodman Company HVAC air handlers over the past 6-12 moths. The relay on these circuit boards are arcing and burning causing them to fill the apartment units with smoke. While investigating a recent incident, I was informed by a facility maintenance supervisor that he has changed out 20-30 of these relay boards for the same arcing issue over a two year span. No injuries have been reported to this agency as of this date and all incidents have been contained within the HVAC unit. The last incident occurred on 02/20/2019.
