The product, in the report: Venmar constructo 2.0 air and heat exchanger
My Venmar air exchanger started making a lot of noise several days ago when running. I could smell an ordor and unplugged the unit. I started researching the unit and found that there was a voluntary recall on it. This unit was installed in 2005. The model #1601612 and serial# [REDACTED]. I called the number 8664414645 at Venmar, and they asked me if the unit was working. I said yes, but it was making an awful noise. They said unplug it and we will send you a part which is easy to replace in about 9 days. My concern is that if the motor is going bad, and a fire could start, what is a little part going to do for me? Do I have any recourse, and has anybody sued the company for damages? [REDACTED]
