The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Nov 20, 2021, sent to the company Dec 3, 2021, published by CPSC Dec 17, 2021

The product, in the report: Red Trane compressor for outside unit on Heat Pump. Manufactured by Alliance Compressors, Model Number SXE042B1BPZ, Serial Number 20YH5842N, [I don’t know what the next set of numbers are for but I’m including them] 08590-269 10041520

A brand new Trane compressor that was installed about 15 months ago has already stopped working and needs to be replaced. The fan motor is fine. The capacitors are fine. The “board” is fine. The breaker is fine. The coils are fine. The R22 is fine. Everything else is fine. Normally, a compressor should last 15-20 years... not 15 months. The one year warranty has expired. I reported this to Trane yesterday and today with corrected information. I haven’t received a response.
