The product, in the report: Ceramic space heater The model number HPG-15B-M with an SKU number of 732906. The tag lists the UPC number as 877697-0031

I bought a small ceramic space heater for my home at the Home Depot store in Carlisle PA. The store on Hanover Street. The Home Depot store telephone number is 717-249-1771 .

I used the space heater (ceramic) yesterday (Wednesday 14 December 2011. It operated correctly for about two hours when suddenly the heater shot flames out of the front of the heater after making some strange noises. My wife who was home at the time was able to unplug the heater before it set the living room rug on fire. If she hadn’t been in the room to see what was happening it is very possible that the heater would have started a fire that could have destroyed my home. It endangered both her life and our two dogs who were in the house at the time. If we had both been away from the house when this heater malfunctioned our dogs and house could both have burned up in a fire. I plan to return this heater to Home Depot and inform them also of this product hazard. Malfunctioning heater product details are: Name: WarmWave Description: Ceramic Heater with Thermostat, 1500 Watts, Made In China UPC Code on product box is 8 77697 00316 0 Distributed by Oceanaire Home Goods Company at 2242 Northwest Parkway, Marietta, GA 30067 Price was $19.97 at Home Depot store.
