The product, in the report: The product description on Amazon is MORENTO Space Heaters for Indoor Use, Smart Space Heater, Wi-Fi & Voice Control, Portable Heater with Thermostat, 1500W Electric Heater, 12H Timer, Quiet Space Heater for Office Bedroom Home (Black)
My Smart Space Heater SH40-WF almost caught on fire. A loud pop was heard, followed by smoke and a burning smell. Upon inspecting the heater after normal household use, I discovered internal wiring and a crimped electrical connector that showed visible burn damage and overheating. The insulation and fabric sleeving around the wire were scorched, and the metal connector appeared heat-damaged and partially deformed. The damage was located inside the unit and was not caused by external factors, misuse, or modification. This condition presents a potential fire hazard if the heater were to continue operating. The manufacturer offered a refund but did not address the underlying safety concern or explain whether the issue has been investigated or reported elsewhere. I purchased this device from Amazon 11 months ago. I purchased two of them and discontinued the use of the other device for safety concerns.
