No one hurt Made Nov 24, 2015, sent to the company Dec 3, 2015, published by CPSC Dec 17, 2015
The product, in the report: Small space heater intended for indoor use.
One evening while the heather was in use in my daughter’s bedroom--this heater caught fire. Luckily our smoke detector went off immediately and I was able to get my children out of our home without issue. I was also able to remove the space heater before it burned further in our yard. The internal components of this heater were what actually caught fire. There was nothing on top of or under the heater. It was the side panel.

The product, in the report: Maxi-Heat Model PH807F portable electric heater
Woke up to a burning smell. Found the heater melted on the side with the switch and the carpet below on fire. Unplugged the heater and smothered the flames and poured water on the area. Nothing was laying on the heater and it had been working fine earlier in the evening. There was smoke residue on the vent area of the heater and the wires had burned completely through. Fire started in the heater.

No one hurt Made May 16, 2011, published by CPSC Jun 13, 2011
The product, in the report: Small, oscillating portable electric space heater. Off-white and black in color. Two gray knobs and gray rocker switch on the control panel. Black grille on front with removable air intake filter on back.
Was just awakened at 3:15AM to the odor of a fire inside my portable heater. Unplugged it, and threw it out into the rain. It was making a hissing and popping sound, and could see orange and yellow sparks and flames. Luckily, the fire did not escape the heater.
