  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 21, 2018, sent to the company Feb 7, 2019, published by CPSC Feb 25, 2019

The product, in the report: Kenmore space heater. Greg stand alone heater.

I was using the heater at night to heat my bedroom and on december 18th I walked into my bedroom where my husband was sleeping and the room was filled with smoke and there were flames shooting out of all sides of the heater. I walked up to the heater and carefully turned it off and rushed to unplug it. As I was unplugging it, it turned back on by itself and made a popping noise. Then sparks flew out of it. I had to use a wet towel to carefully take the heater outside. My bedroom smelled like burning wires for a full day.
