The product, in the report: HomeBasix Tower Heater Oscillating Ceramic PTC : Model KPT-2000B: SKU# 005-3017
While setting next to my heater, it shut off. I immediately got up and unplugged the unit. At that time i smelt burning plastic. Inspecting the unit i found it had burned through the bottom of the unit and into the carpet leaving a burn hole through the carpet to the floor. I pulled the unit apart and found the wire had burned off the on/off switch and the power wire fell inside and melted through the base and into the carpet.
