The product, in the report: 240 volt electric shop heater that hangs from ceiling

I had a Fahrenheat FUH54 heater in my shop in my barn. The heater was set on a low setting and when I went into my shop in November of last year, the heater had apparently been running non stop for days and the temperature in my shop was nearly 200 degrees. I could not turn off the heater and had to disconnect the power at the main panel.

I had melted plastic all over the shop including electrical boxes, plastic speakers even the thermometer had melted.

I have been in contact with the company that manufactures this unit for the past month and I have had little success and they have shown no concern for my situation or the potential of what could have happened to me or could happen to someone else. I had thought they would have wanted this unit back so they could examine it but that does not appear to be the case.
