The product, in the report: Easy Home Fan-Forced Heater

Easy Home fan-forced space heater purchased 01-05-2023, used in a bathroom since, caught fire internally when I turned it to the highest heat setting. I had previously avoided that setting, as the heater had smoked on earlier occasions. I immediately turned it off, unplugged it, and carried it out to the front walk to cool off away from the house and anything else flammable. I still have it if you wish to inspect it.

The product, in the report: Heater fan

I have the above heater with manufacture date of 9/2016. I have used for years without issue, plugger directly into wall per instructions. Yesterday I turned it on and it cause an electrical surge throughout the house and the coils lit up and glowed red hot before I could reach down and turn it off. All of our lights in the house because super bright and then dim and several of our surge protectors got fried. One of the surge protectors located one floor directly up actually sparked and briefly ignited our curtains. This was all very frightening and I felt you should know about this malfunction
