The product, in the report: This is called the Climate Keeper Personal Electric Fan Heater Purchased at Big Lost on 1/23/2016. Fan Heater Model #FH-04. Power Supply 120VAC/60Hz. Power Consumption:1500W. Date Code 0815 Ningbo Jiayue Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. lntertek#4008377. Conforms to UL STD. 1278. Certified to CSA STD.C22.2NO.46 FH-04 Made in China Household use only.

I purchased the heater at Big Lots on 1/23/2016. Used the heater the next day in my bathroom. After being on for about 5 minutes, I could smell something burning. I thought it might be because of the product being new. It was like turning on your heat for the first time in your home in the winter. About 5 minutes later the burning smell continued I looked in the back of the heater and the plastic vent was melting. Out of concern I posted pictures on Facebook to possibly notify anyone who might have bought one. The next day I called and spoke with the Manager @ Big Lots and told me to Contact his Cooperate Office. I did that and they took a report. Through F/Book someone informed me to contact the CPSC about the incident. I returned the heater back to the Manager @ Big Lots. I wanted him to take the rest of the heaters off the shelfs. He said he sold them all. He showed concern in the matter. He took my name and phone #. I told him I was making this report and agreed it was the right thing to do.
