The product, in the report: Windham electric fireplace, entertainment unit by Dimplex Model DFG2562 “Windham” Serial # 6905050500
I purchased a “Windham” electric fireplace by Dimplex. I purchased it at Haverty’s In December 2012. The middle unit that houses the heating element is not bolted down. Over time due to motion, it worked it’s way to the edge of the entertainment unit. My three year old granddaughter walked by the unit and touched the edge and it almost fell on her; this is when I realized that the middle part is not fixated to the entertainment unit. I am very concerned that something that houses a heating element is not bolted down to the entertainment unit; it is very loose and moves over time. this is a very dangerous piece of furniture. I have looked at other electric fireplaces and the heating element is not loose in any of them. this Is a poorly designed piece of furniture.
