The product, in the report: Twin Star Electric Fireplace, model number 23EF020GRA. Black heater with brown enclosure on wheels.

At an [REDACTED] with a Twin Star Electric Fireplace heater, model 23EF020GRA. Was running fine over the last couple of days, but woke up an hour ago to a burning rubber smell. Turns out the plug had melted and was thankfully able to unplug it due to it being plugged into a surge protector. The heater is rated for 11.7A, and the surge protector is rated for 18A. There’s nothing plugged into the surge protector other than the heater. There is no damage between the surge protector and the wall, the only damage is to the heater plug and the face of the surge protector. If I hadn’t woke up a fire would’ve started.

Also worth noting on BBB there are also reports of melted plastic and burning smells: [REDACTED]
