The product, in the report: Durablow SH3002 Gas Fireplace WiFi Smart Home Remote Control for Millivolt Valve, Compatible with Alexa, Google Home (On/Off + Timer + Thermostat + Schedule Programmable)
Durablow SH3002 Gas Fireplace WiFi Smart Home Remote Control for Millivolt Valve, Compatible with Alexa, Google Home (On/Off + Timer + Thermostat + Schedule Programmable)
When correctly connected to the fireplace the product will allow the control of the fireplace using app, Google, Alexa, or remote. The remote is not on all models.
The problem is the product turns on the fireplace when power is applied. This means if the lights in the house blink, the fireplace will turn on without any user intervention.
I contacted the company and their response was to disable the unit when it is not able to be monitored.
Starting the fireplace when power is applied is no an action that is appropriate. Expecting the customer to disable the product when they cannot be there to monitor it is inappropriate. The consumer will forget and the fireplace can ignite without the consumers knowledge.
